Dentures Melbourne
Whether you are facing issues due to gum disease, tooth decay or injury a denture may provide a successful option that will benefit your appearance, health and function. When a set of teeth are missing, the remaining teeth generally shift into the remaining space and become crooked. It is harder to clean crooked teeth, which can lead to tooth decay and gum disease. Your ability to chew properly and speak is restored. Dentures will fill out the look of your face and prevent facial muscles from sagging, which can make you look older.
We can make you a denture or partial that will closely resemble your natural teeth and gums, to minimise a change in your appearance
Type oF Dentures
-
Conventional
The full removable denture is made and placed in your mouth after any remaining teeth have been removed and the tissues have healed. This can take several months.
-
Immediate
You will receive the removable denture on the same day, when your remaining teeth will be removed, so you don’t have to be without teeth during the healing period. We will take the measurements and make models of your jaw at a preliminary visit. You may be required to have the denture relined after you have finished the healing process to ensure a proper fit.
-
Partial
A partial is a removable appliance made for patients who are missing some, but not all teeth. We will design the partial denture to match your teeth and gums, and it will attach to your natural teeth with metal or plastic clasps. Your partial denture will keep your teeth from shifting, while filling in gaps that can make eating difficult to complete your smile.
-
Over Denture
This option provides added stability for your denture. Over time, retention on a traditional denture worsens due to bone loss and deterioration. As they rely on suction alone, they can require messy denture creams or adhesives. A root or implant supported overdenture is held in place by attachments added to the root of a remaining tooth, or to an implant. An overdenture helps preserve the health of your jaw bone and will control facial contour changes that can be caused by having no remaining teeth.

Dentures FAQs
The price of dentures generally depends on the material utilised and the number of teeth that are being replaced. Dentures vary in price between $1700 and $3000.
There are no “best” dentures as such. A denture needs to be custom made. Many factors are taken into account which will influence the final design. Factors include;
- the number of teeth,
- strength required,
- sensitivity to materials,
- long term goals,
- comfort of fit.
Bad teeth are never a preferred option. Bad teeth lead to issues with comfort, health and self-confidence. Good quality dentures can be customised as per the patient’s requirements.

What Our Patients Say About Our Denture Treatment

Brilliant , had a broken tooth, extremely sore at 0700am on a Friday, not a shock that there was no answer. I took that what I thought was a long shot by contacting them on Facebook messenger. To my shock I got a message back within minutes and then got a call from Bianca booking me in at 0930am the same day. Brilliant.

I fell down and chipped my front tooth so I was desperately looking for a dental clinic that's still open. although it was very last minute, the clinic remained opened to see me which was such a nice gesture. Dr Trinh was very compassionate and friendly and immediately filled the tooth which now looks amazing. can't even tell the difference now! i usually am scared to go see a dentist but i felt very comfortable this time! thank you again!

Mitcham Dental would have to be one of the BEST dental clinics in the east. They are always so accomodating, friendly and very experienced in all aspects of dentistry. I am quite a nervous patient when it comes to my teeth. They are also very patient and make the customer feel comfortable at all times. So many options are given to a patient and always explained prior to treatment. I must give Sarah a thumb up always for taking care of my teeth and making me feel comfortable, and not nervous whilst performing my dental treatment. The outcome is always positive and I always keep coming back. Congratulations to the whole team at Mitcham Dental. Keep up the grest work!
