Dental Implants and Mini-implants

Dental services have come a long way since the days when people dreaded having to step foot through the door. At Mitcham Dental Clinic, we believe in putting people at ease from their very first phone call.

We take our time to get to know your needs and wishes. We understand life is busy and to make your visit to the dentist as easy as possible, we offer flexible early-morning, evening and Saturday appointments.

Advanced Technology

Intraoral Camera

At Mitcham Dental Clinic we use small cameras right inside your mouth to take highly magnified digital photos of your teeth. These photos can be displayed on a computer screen for both patient and doctor, and are invaluable in diagnosing and recording dental problems.  Intra-oral photos also allow our patients to view what the dentist sees when they are evaluating your teeth.

Digital X-Rays

Digital radiography is the latest way to take and evaluate x-rays. With digital x-rays, less radiation is needed to produce high-quality images. These images can then be evaluated on a large flat-screen monitor. This allows for easier detection of any problems. With such a large image, it is also easier for patients to see and understand what is happening with their teeth.

Prophy-Jet

Mitcham Dental Clinic uses Prophy-Jet, which is an air polishing prophylaxis system which uses air/water/sodium bicarbonate slurry to remove stains, soft debris and dental plaque while polishing tooth surfaces.

Prophy-Jet is recommended for cleaning tooth surfaces prior to bonding procedures and placement of dental sealants. It is also very effective in use on patients wearing orthodontic appliances.

Mercury Free Restorations

Mitcham Dental Clinic replaces old amalgam fillings with mercury-free ones. Amalgam (silver) fillings contain mercury. Mercury is a toxic poison, and mercury-based fillings are unattractive. If you are planning to have your silver fillings replaced, you'll want to get the new improved filling material that match the color of your natural teeth and does not contain mercury.
